Job Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, evaluation, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems supporting BYD's flash charging infrastructure. This role ensures charging facilities are designed and operated in accordance with technical standards, safety regulations, and project requirements while supporting the expansion of BYD's EV charging network across Indonesia.
Job Descriptions
Design and review electrical systems for EV charging infrastructure projects, including power distribution, protection systems, and equipment specifications.
Conduct site assessments, electrical load calculations, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations for charging station deployment.
Prepare and review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
Coordinate with utility providers, contractors, consultants, and government authorities regarding electrical requirements and approvals.
Support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities for charging facilities.
Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and company engineering requirements.
Analyze operational performance and reliability of charging stations, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
Collaborate with project, operations, and business development teams to support successful charging infrastructure expansion.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, EV charging infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy, or industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and electrical design principles.
Experience with EV charging technology, high-voltage systems, and electrical infrastructure projects is preferred.
Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, or similar engineering tools.
Familiarity with Indonesian electrical standards, regulations, and utility connection processes.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
